Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

My .114 version I just installed, reset twice and went through the complete Router setup process does not even show Ping Heat Map as an option to select in the GUI.  Any thoughts here?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

There has been some changes to the GeoFilter map where Singapore is now not there anymore. On the previous version, I could still peek and find Singapore and the cursor would turn white. With the latest update for the XR500, Singapore seems to be wiped off from the map. Yes we are very small but we are there. 😞

I also noticed the Connection Benchmark is not available either to select. It ran the connection speed test during initial router setup but doesn’t show that nor Ping Heat Map in the GUI of version .114.

Did you perform a factory reset after installing the new firmware? It's recommended you do this.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

I suspecting that scheduled connection benchmark, when the schedule runs, is causing the 100% bug. It's the most recent feature I've turned on and I noitced that after a days worth of running every 4 hours I find that the router is stuck on 100% CPU usage including in the debug window. The cause seems to be random and not at any specific time. Unforutnately the capture debug log doesn't capture the top process to show why this might be happening. Is there a way to update the "save debug log" to dump the process list in the next release? It might be helpful.

Personally I would like to have SSH access to mess around when things like this happens, but I understand there's limits. 😉

Yes. I did twice and went through the complete router setup. GUI is a little slow and missing links Connection Benchmark and Ping Heat Map links

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

That's interesting, does it drop back down to normal after a while? What about after a quick reboot?

If you click the three-line menu in the top right of the interface you can monitor Rapp performance there!

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Which method did you use to factory reset, did you hold the button on the back of the router for 30 seconds or did you do it through the interface?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

If somebody can show me a screen shot of v2.3.2.114 dashboard and how it’s supposed to look that would be helpful until then I’m sticking to 108 and the features I like.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Hello all- I had the .108 beta going and today the nighthawk app had an update to .114. This sort of automated update has never happened before on the beta. I’ve seen some mixed reports on here as well about how good .114 is. Can someone from netduma chime in here about why the beta is now auto updating and also if this is a stable release? Thanks

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

With .114 I have erased from the interface and reset on multiple occasions using the reset button on the back. Ran through the initial router setup multiple times. Still not seeing the Ping Heat Map or the Connection Benchmark.

Upgraded from .108
Current version: V2.3.2.114
Current GUI Language Version: V1.0.0.392

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

There aren't any real cosmetic differences between .108 and .114 so you won't notice any differences there!

Oops sorry - I hadn't seen this comment before replying to your other one.

It's strange that those features just aren't there for you, I'd suggest now reinstalling .114 again and see if this resolves it!

Is this 114 version still beta then? If it is why is it coming up on the nighthawk app?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

Hello,

Haven't truely tested much on 108 due too the reports already of stability and other things.

I did have ipv6 on for several days with no issues but I saw where it is mostly affected if you use QoS which I have not played with too much.

I did discover an issue where the device manager (in Duma) is not updated when you change the routers LAN IP. The devices connected all updated fine. Attached is a screenshot of Duma with incorrect IP and ipconfig with the actual IP.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@Maddogsss the stable pre-beta versions are what are uploaded so that routers know whether there is a new version, this is unchanged even when you're on a beta version. So unfortunately the pre-beta version was named the same as the beta version. Pre-beta .114 includes security fixes.

@Funstuff Can you try the .114 beta version please and see if it works?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@Netduma-Fraser Does that mean we should install the version prompted on our nighthawk mobile apps even if we were indeed running the beta .108 as the time?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@niewiado if you want to continue using the beta then do not upgrade to the version prompted by the app.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)

@Delx which firmware are you on currently, .108, .114 (pre-beta that likely auto updated) or .114 beta?
