Ethernet Connection
My "Nighthawk XR1000" router will not recognise the ethernet connection to my Foxtel iQ4 box.
It will connect wirelessly, but not by ethernet.
Could somebody please provide me with a solution.

Re: Ethernet Connection
does any other device have issues connecting via ethernet?
Did you check with foxtel about changing its internal settings?

Re: Ethernet Connection
Thank you for your reply.
All my other devices, Samsung TV, Apple TV, recognise the modem. I have tried a new ethernet cable, and also tried all 4 ethernet ports. All devices operated on the old iiNet modem. It appeards to only be the Fox1Q4 box that is having problems.
It will connect and operate on WiFi, but not ethernet.
Incedently, the panel at the top of this page titled Model, does not list the XR1000.
Cheers

Re: Ethernet Connection
the XR1000 is a router
What actual modem do you have?

Re: Ethernet Connection
The supply to the Router is by ethernet direct from the NBN fibre optic box.

Re: Ethernet Connection
Unfortunately, none of the well meaning suggestions worked.
Neither were my contacts with the "Help Line"
I have taken the unit back to the retailer for a refund.
