Trying to set up a WAP (WNDR3300) Utilizing Base Station (XR500)
Netgear Community,
I am really hoping one of you experts can help me with this process. I tried contacting the Netgear Tech Support telephone number to complete this process. They told me they can only support the XR500 and not the WNDR3300 as the free tech support that came with the purchase of the XR500 only supports that device and not the WNDR3300. Here is what I am trying to accomplish.
I have a XR500 as a base station in my house. It is connected directly to my router and services all my wifi needs within my house, no complaints whatsoever there. I also have a 200' CAT6 cable ran from the XR500 within my house out to my office (approximately 150' away), and connected to my WNDR3300. I am trying to use the WNDR3300 as a WAP to service all my wifi needs at that location.
I have researched several guides, however, none of them cover exactly what I am trying to accomplish. Perhaps I am missing a step(s), I am sure that is the case. I would really apprecaite any assistance anyone can provide.
Thank you for your time.
Lucas
