XR500 with CM1200 Call of Duty/Warzone PS5

I've had the XR500 and CM1200 for a couple of years now, but lately, I have noticed that I lag almost every game I get into.  It doesn't matter if it's MP, Warzone, or DMZ.  I play COD 99% of the time.  The other 1% are games that don't require the Internet.

Here are some of the things I have tried so far:

1.  Started at 1% up/down in QOS then went up 5% in each running connection benchmark.  My download always spikes under load and if I run it 2 -3 times in a row they have totally different results.

2.  I've factory reset it and left all settings as default (except giving my PS5 an IP address)

3.  I've turned off both QOS and Geo-Filter. QOS on and Geo-Filter off, QOS off and Geo-filter on.

4.  In increments of 5 I have allocated bandwidth to gaming starting with 5 and going up to 100.

5.  I've had Comcast out here multiple times and everything with the line is good.

6.  I tried downgrading the firmware on the XR500 but it didn't work so I went back to V2.3.2.134.

I currently have 1GBPS up and 40MBPS down.  I'm all ears if anybody has any settings or suggestions that can help me.

Another thing is if I don't reset the router before I start playing it lags terribly.

When you're getting lag what is the average ping shown on the game and how does this compare to the Geo-Filter ping? There is also a beta version you can try: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51611-new-xr500-beta-firmware-33535/

Re: XR500 with CM1200 Call of Duty/Warzone PS5

Usually in-game I ping in the low 30s and the Geo-Filter pings in the low 20s.  I'm not very tech-savvy, but I know that is a low ping.  I can see the difference in-game and in the kill cam.  I was playing Shipment earlier, walked around the corner then died by "invisible bullets".  I watched the kill cam and saw the other person firing at me before I even saw them.

I will try the beta version and see if that improves anything.

That doesn't seem like lag then but you may benefit from forcing different servers even if they're a bit further away with a slightly higher ping

I've tried different servers but all with the same result.  I have a match or two that there is no delay then it's back to the normal delay.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of the delay I keep getting?

If nothing has changed on your end when you get those games without the delay then it sounds like it's an issue with the game. Best thing to do would be to add any servers you have a bad experience to your deny list so you don't play on them again during your next gaming session. After repeating this you should be left with the servers you know play well for you.
