AC1750 R6700V3 Keeps Dropping 5G Wifi Every Day with Spectrum
I'm currently having a problem with my router dropping 5G wi-fi every now and then. It'll be up for a few hours but randomly shuts off and stays off for about the same amount of time it was up for. The only device connected to the network is my gaming pc, so I don't think the network is being overwhelmed with devices. The only way I can get the 5G back is restarting the router by unplugging, and plugging it back in, and it just keeps doing the same thing over and over and if I can't find a solution to this, I'm probably gonna be switching over to ethernet
I've tried downgrading firmware versions down from 1.0.4.128 ------> 1.0.3.66, because I heard this was supposed to fix the problem, but when I tried this I could connect to the wi-fi, but there was no internet.
Please help me fix this problem!

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What channel fro 5ghz are you using?
When it happens, is it only to the one device? or do all devices drop on 5ghz?
When it happens, is the 5ghz still broadcasting and devices won't connect? Is it saying, connected, no internet? Whats actually happening?

Re: AC1750 R6700V3 Keeps Dropping 5G Wifi Every Day with Spectrum
I'm using a Spectrum Hitron Docsis EN2251-Res Cable Modem right now.
The 5G network is using channel 153.
When the 5G drops, all devices lose connection such as phones, smart tv's, desktops, and laptops, and when it drops, the entire 5G network disappears from the list of available networks and I have to wait to the next day for it to come back, or I just restart the router.

have you tried changing the wifi channel?
Is the router properly ventilated?
Have you tried a factory reset?

Re: AC1750 R6700V3 Keeps Dropping 5G Wifi Every Day with Spectrum
I did try changing the wifi channel, because the 5G was on channel 149 before switching it to 153, but I still had the same problems.
The router is sitting on a little side table in the corner of our guest room, so I think its ventilated well.
The only thing I haven't tried is a factory reset. Hoping this works! crossing my fingers 🤞

Re: AC1750 R6700V3 Keeps Dropping 5G Wifi Every Day with Spectrum
Try the lower 40's channels. With channel overlap, they'd still be broadcasting on the same region with those.

Re: AC1750 R6700V3 Keeps Dropping 5G Wifi Every Day with Spectrum
So I tried factory resetting the router and set everything up through the app again, but it did the same thing and went out randomly again. I tried changing the channel of the 5G down to 44, and it came up, but my speeds dropped by about 50-60 mhz. Is this normal? and if none of these solutions work, do you think it could be a problem with the modem or provider?
