@DarrenM Was smart connect added to the C7000? I wasn't aware it had it. 

@Lindaandroger Do you have your 2.4ghz and 5ghz ssid's named the same or seperate?

If they're seperate, simply connect to the 2.4ghz one. 

If they're named the same, seperate the names so you can choose which to connect to.

@plemans You are right not on the C7000v2 I thought  he meant the r7000 or R7900
