C7100V SYNC Timing Synchronization failure
My cable modem resets back to factory at least daily, if not more often. I pulled this code from the event log:
SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;CM-MAC=08:36:c9:d0:ca:60;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0;
Going through the community it appears that this might be a ISP (Xfinity) problem.
Firmware is 2.01.42.
Thanks in advance

Re: C7100V SYNC Timing Synchronization failure
do you have a screen shot of the cable connects page and the complete logs?
One single log entry isn't enough to determine its a isp issue.
Also, if you have any splitters, amplifiers, or attenuators in line, I'd remove them. Check the cable for damage, cheap/bad connectors, loose connectors, kinks in the line, replace them.
I usually advise moving the modem right to where the coax enters the home to prevent it from being wiring within the home.
