Cannot turn off ''Read only'' on readyshare network USB hard drive
I changed routers recently. I realize that I don't have full access to the attached hard drive.
I tried to delete some files inside a folder and no access. Saw read only. Tried to change turn it off and won't let me
I took the USB hard drive and plugged it to PC, it lets me toggle off read only. I plugged it back to router and it's set to read only and can't be changed.
It's a netgear router I'm using windows 10 file explorer.
I tried to do delete the file with my phone instead of the PC and the same thing, it won't let me.
How can I have full control of the drive? In the Netgear settings I have it set full root acess read and write with admin password.
So far the only way is to unplug from router and plug into PC to be able to delete files or rename them.
Much appreciate all the help

Re: Cannot turn off ''Read only'' on readyshare network USB hard drive
"File Access Denied
you require permission from unix user root\root to make changes to this file"
How do you fix this?
I tried right click- properties- security tab. I see Group or user names: Everyone, root unix user, root unix group. All 3 have full control.
edit- add- type in admin check names. apply I get error "windows security unable to save permission changes. Access Denied.

Re: Cannot turn off ''Read only'' on readyshare network USB hard drive
File on the left I can NOT change the name of it. File on the right I can.
I just can't figure this out at all.
