Connection drops on the NETGEAR R7000P Nighthawk Router

Hello everyone, I'm at a loss with this router and am looking for either advice or confirmation from others that it's a dud.

So, three months ago, I bought and set up this router and instantly ran into problems. After 2-3 minutes of use, the 5GHz band would lose internet connection.

The wifi connection would be maintained, but there would be no internet access. I was able to reproduce the problem on four separate devices, all of which had the identical issue. This didn't appear to be an issue on the 2.4 GHz band.

After doing a lot of research online, I decided to disable Mi-mumo, which seemed to alleviate the problem for the most part. However, I continue to have regular "flickers," in which my internet disconnects and reconnects seconds or minutes later.

This has been disrupting my business meetings and preventing me from playing online games.

I'm looking into hardwiring my key gadgets, but I'd also like to fix this problem.

I had dynamic QOS turned off and am now trying it again.

What other suggestions do you have?

2. what firwmare is on the router? 

3. how far away from the router are you when you're having issues? 

4. what are the interior walls of your home made from? 

5. did you try a factory reset and reinstall?
