I called our ISP provider and increased our plan from 100 Mbps to 300 Mbps recently. Now when I test my speed with the router app it shows about 300Mbps, but when I use Ookla website it shows about the same as previous service ~100 Mbps. I'm not sure I'm getting the higher speed really. Anyone know why the test results would be different? I have my R7000 router connected via ethernet cable directly to my computer.

What modem are you using?
Firmware on the R7000?
Sometimes the easiest, fastest method is a simple factory reset and re-install.
Make sure qos is disabled as its not recommend at speeds >250mbps.
