Re: MS60 satellite Ethernet port
Hey Whaleless.. just saw your post and I had a similiar thought., but I hadn't gotton to the point to actucally connect anything to the MS60 ethernet port. What I found was the port on the MR60 (router) is the only real ethernet port. it can be used for connecting additional wired devices thru a switch or directly to the port. The ethernet port on the MS60 (satellite), was designed for what is called "wired backhaul connecton", in a mesh wifi network you can typically create the mesh over the air, but there are instances that the locaton you are looking to cover is remote, or too far away. It is also used to allow the mesh to operate without using wifi bandwidth. The backhaul conncection will allow you to place a satellite in a remote location, and join the mesh via the hard wired ethernet port. Check out this page on the netgear site. it explains it in detail.
Good luck

From my understanding I’m able to connect my computer to the Ethernet port on the back of a MS60 satellite and be connected? It’s currently not working.
The manual suggests that this should work.
What does "not working" mean?
You get some sort of error message?
What is this computer? Windows? Mac? Something else?
If Windows 10, what happens when you try this?

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Nighthawk Mesh System - NETGEAR Communities
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

If you read the article you linked to, it says that the ethernet port
enables you to create a direct connection between your router and satellite
It does not say that this is the only thing it does, or that this is what it was designed for.
Reading the manual, it implies that you can indeed plug a PC into the ethernet port.

Re: MS60 satellite Ethernet port
like @michaelkenward says, you should be able to use that port to connect devices.
I've even seen users connect a switch to it so they can connect more devices.
Have you tried a different ethernet cable?
