So I owned a R6700 V3 router and it got bricked. I sent it in for a replacement through my warranty. When I got the new Router I set it up like you would any new router. I ended up choosing to keep my WiFi name the same and then the new router automatically connected itself to the old network. I didn’t have to create a new password and all of my devices recognized it as if it was my old router. The internet works, but I have been having more issues with it ever since I got the new router. Is it because it connected to the old routers WiFi?

If you "sent it in", then your old router is gone, and nothing is "connected" to it now. Unless you believe that there was something magical about your old SSID and passphrase, then you might have some kind of (unspecified) problem with the new router, but I doubt that reusing your old wireless-network credentials would explain it (whatever it might be).
If you had problems with your old R6700v3 (before you killed it), then I would not be completely amazed if you had similar problems with your new R6700v3 (until you kill it).
How did that happen? Power Outage during firmware update
"more" than what? "issues"? Internet speeds slowing down and going down completely where I have to unplug the modem and router to reset my internet. I already talked to my internet provider and everything is working fine on their end.

That could do it. When it happens again after your warranty's gone, there are recovery schemes which might help.

Not the latest. You might try a different version and/or the usual last resort: a settings reset and manual reconfiguration.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s). Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and, especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".) When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:

Not knowing what those "issues" are, it is hard to begin to guess what causes them, but using the same SSID and password – it isn't "the old router's wifi" – isn't likely to cause many problems, especially if they have nothing to do with wifi, if that is the case.
