What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What was the LED indication on the top of the router when this happened?

What CAT# lan cable are you using between the modem and router?

What devices do you have all connected?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
      Turn off and unplug modem.
      Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

I didn't see this with mine:

This may sound crazy but I was having the dropping problem . I went back to my old firmware because of the dropping wifi issues. The next day I tried .136 again and then I installed it a second time right over the top of the first one immediately and everything works. I had tried .136 three times previously with bad results.
Only this I am having a issue with now is that I can't install the nighthawk app on my cell because of a timeout message but my r7000 has been working flawlessly for 3 days.

  • Hello,

By chance checking again for new firmware. The R7000's are still on stable but likely vulnerable V1.0.9.42_10.2.44.
Tried some upgrades in the past, but all were a failure in stability specific throughput and WIFI.  Hence I gave up. WIth the feedback again here on the forum. Not really an incentive to do the upgrade hassle over again. Waiting to maybe ever ever hear about a golden version that simply works good and reliable.
Have all a good and healthy 2023, Bas.

I think v.124 was a good version. Didn't see any issues with it.

Also other factor to consider about FW versions and troubleshooting problems.

      Not everything if FW caused.

  • Hi all,
