Nighthawk R7000P causing Intermittent Internet

There seems to be some intermittent problems with my internet. While gaming or watching hulu, it will kick me out but the internet doesn't seem like it goes out. While gaming, I will still be in the discord and i'm able to load the game back up immediately. This happens on multiple games and around every 2 hours ish.

I called my isp, they told me everything is fine with my modem. No t4 timeouts or interruption. I'm getting all my packets. He mentioned it could be something with the profieciency on my router, I don't know what that means though.

I've made sure my firmware was updated on my router (version V1.3.1.64_10.1.36). I also tried factory resetting my router but this seemed to cause more issues. My router wouldn't pull internet from my modem. So it would show that i'm connected to my internet/wifi but the internet wouldn't work. I made it so my router MC address was set to "use computer mac address" and this seemed to fix that issue though.

How can I fix this issue with that seems to disconnect me for a few seconds every 2 hours? I've been dealing with this for a while and need to know if I have to get a new router or if I can fix it without purchasing the support for the router.

What actual modem do you have?

You can try updating the firmware. the latest as of today is 1.3.3.142

Try manually updating and then do a factory reset and new install.

When you're gaming or watching video's, are you using the 5ghz band?

    Are you hardwired?
