I can see the inline pictures now.

The picture in the data sheet just shows the ONT on a stand.  Your picture is on its side.

Attached to this message is a PDF version of the user’s manual for the Nokia XS-250WX-A.  Most likely very similar devices.

Attached in the next two messages are two screen snips from the manual.  One relating to logging in to the user interface and one relating to enabling IPv6.  Pages 80 and 87 respectively.

We are at a point where either you are going to have to log in to your Nokia ONT and enable the IPv6 functionality or you are going to have to have the ISP technician make the change.

I have god given powers (superuser) to confuse the world.

I can also, in theory at least, approve pictures, which is why I was surprised that you hadn't seen some.

I presumed other forces were at work.

Do you know how I would get to the log in window?

Thanks!

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

Also the Xbox has a way to test your NAT type. It will say, open, moderate, strict or double NAT. So the ONT may already have bridge mode enabled because mine is open, it was strict until I opened some ports. I may just need to go in and enable IPV6.

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

Thanks for the help. I tried logging in and it gave me a network change error and shut me out of tv for a while. The internet came back after a few minutes. I’m going to call them and have them do it. Do you think there is any negatives to getting a switch and bypassing the router (just for the Xbox)? Thanks again for the help.

It won't work.

Without your router, The Xbox won't know where to go.

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

The switch would be connected to the ONT.  since the ONT only has one working port my plan was, instead of connecting the router to that port I would run a switch and connect the router and the Xbox to the switch. I was able to connect the Xbox directly to the ONT and it worked. Just want to give you a clear picture of what I’m doing.. This won’t work?
Thanks

No.

Modem (ONT) > Router > Switch

With the X box connected directly to the ONT, did it have an IPv6 address?

Please provide an update after you have had your ISP make changes to the settings in your ONT.

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

Will do, they said the ONT is configured for both and the determination is made the router but they are sending a tech here tomorrow. I’m going to try hooking the Xbox back up to the ONT and reset everything and see if anything changes.

thanks

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

Tech was here made a bunch of calls and determined IPV6 isn’t available yet. “It’s something we’re working on”. It’s 50/50 if it’s actually not turned on or they just wanted to get rid of me. But anyway thanks everyone for the help.

Appreciate your providing feedback.  At least for the moment, now you know.

Re: Nighthawk R8000Pturn on IPV6

I would feel more confident if I knew 100% that my router supports IPV6.

You aren't the first, and won;lt be the last, customer to be fed dud information by their ISP's "tech support". Pity they wasted your time when you first asked if they support IPv6.

One can try Hurricane Electric for those that don't have native IPv6 support from there ISPs.
