Nighthawk R9000 Gaming

New R900 installed and up and running.  What do I need to do to optimize for gaming.  Are there certain settings that will get a better frame rate, etc.?

Not a ton. 

1. make sure you're on the least congested wifi channel.

2. make sure the gaming device is on 5ghz. 

3. for best speeds/lowest latency, a hardwired connection is best but not always feasible

4. Make sure you're not in a double nat (2 routers on the network in router mode, many isp supplied gateways have internal routers)

5. test your speeds to see if you're getting what you expect. gaming doesn't take a lot of bandwidth but it needs to be consistent.
