Hi all,
i bought a nighthawk x6 R8000 (Firmwareversion V1.0.2.44_1.0.96) a few weeks ago. I think it is a really nice device with a lot of features you can normally only find in device of a much higher price....
But I have a problem with one feature:
You can send the logfile only to a mail address. But why?
Is there any chance to get the logfiles via send to an syslog server, scp or to save them to an external drive?
At the moment I send the log to a local mail server but this is more a workaround than a good solution.
Thanks in advance for any useful feedback. 🙂

Re: Nighthawk x6 r8000 syslog function?
Evidently, that's how all NETGEAR routers are designed.
There's no way you can have the logs be sent to a syslog server.
Unless 3rd party firmware offers such feature.

Re: Nighthawk x6 r8000 syslog function?
Hey guys,
thanks for the quick response. i can't believe that my old cheap router had a function which isn't available in the x6 firmware.
Thanks for the link...i will give it a try. 🙂
