Not much useful information in there. This isn't the telegram era, where every word cost money.

What router is this? R5700v3 doesn't exist. R7500v3?

What is this printer?

How does it connect to to your network? Wifi? Wire ethernet?

Re: R5700v3

My mistake.  the router is an Netgear R6700V3.  the printer is connected via wifi.  The router is less than five feet from the printer.  the printer copiews, prints but will not scan.

Re: R5700v3

You still have not answered the question about the printer.  What is the brand and model number?

Wi-Fi will be the least satisfactory connection for a multi-function printer/scanner.  The most satisfactory connection will be by connecting your multi-function device directly to your router/LAN via an Ethernet cable.

The unnamed printer manufacturer most likely has a configuration application to setup your printer and scanner.

For example:

Installing HP wireless printer software | Wireless Printing Center | HP® United Kingdom

or

ij network tool - Canon UK

It is generally down to the printer to play ball with the wifi, not the other way round.
