R6700v3 — Nighthawk AC1750 Firmware won’t upgrade
Got email firmware upgrade available. Have verified between app and website that the existing firmware isn't current.
Try to perform upgrade from app on iPad, every time I check for now firmware, it get "error checking for new firmware", failing to proceed with the upgrade.
In all other respects, the unit functions normall best I can tell.
I have had for approx 6 months, have tried this numerous times and continue to have same result. Router has been rebooted numerous times
Any thoughts.

Re: R6700v3 — Nighthawk AC1750 Firmware won’t upgrade
Thank you. I will try. Preliminary question; I acknowledge the instruction say to have wired Ethernet connection with the router for this process. Location we have makes this a bit difficult, by doable if absolutely necessary. Can this alternately be done via WiFi?

Re: R6700v3 — Nighthawk AC1750 Firmware won’t upgrade
Can you do it over wifi? yes
Is it something we recommend on the forums? not really. Reason why is when we see corrupt firmware issues, it tends to be from users who update over wireless or using the app. the best option is the hardwired option. But do you have to? No
