R7000 Brick with 4 ethernet port leds flashing
Hi,
My new purchased R7000 is having this issue:
Turned on... only four (at once) of the ethernet port leds are flashing. I can only ping router for short amount of time. Serial port does not work.
Again.. Power led NEVER goes on.
It looks like some sort of loop. I wonder why cant get to CFE? And router gets connected via 192.168.1.1 only for up to 10 seconds.
Any suggestions will be very appreciated.
Thx
Tomas

Re: R7000 Brick with 4 ethernet port leds flashing
If you bought it new, return/exchange it. Never a good sign when that happens brand new.
Otherwise if it was "new" from someone else, then you could try tftp/nmrp flash to fix.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Re: R7000 Brick with 4 ethernet port leds flashing
I did my lesson. COM port is not working.... I have tried ALL possible ways... including nmrpflash...
Anyone seen same thing - ONLY 4 ethernet ports flashing - I guess hardware fault...
I just want to confirm it was HARDWARE fault. Nothing else. I can fix firmware issue but not hardware...
Thx
