R7000P - 5Ghz channel broken - support not answering

Unfortunately, the 5Ghz channel of my R7000P is not working. I've tried everything to get it to work, from changing WiFi configuration to installing different firmware versions, but without luck.
Reading some of the other threads seem to suggest it to be a common hardware issue that affects this model.
Would be great if support could finally look into the case that I opened nearly a month ago - case #40714445.

Please let me know if/when this is answered. I'm having the same problem and all old posts on this subject are inconclusive.

Re: R7000P - 5Ghz channel broken - support not answering
Was this ever solved? I have the R7000P and lost 5Ghz after installing the latest firmware (v1.3.1.44_10.1.23). I was able to get 5ghz back after reinstalling the previous firmware version. I'd be interested if yours was a firmware or hardware issue.

Re: R7000P - 5Ghz channel broken - support not answering
Not in my case. I reinstalled the previous version and it didn't solve the problem. In the end I decided to revert to the latest version and live with only having the 2.4 Ghz setting.
However, I would really like to hear from Netgear about this!
