R8000P connected to an EX7500 range extender
I have an R8000P connected to an EX7500 range extender. My question is this, I have my R8000P set to "smart connect" so it uses one SSID and intelligently selects the ideal Wifi network band for each device and location. Supposedly the EX7500 forms some sort of direct link with the router (not sure how that works) but the extender also uses only one SSID for both 2.4 and 5GHz networks. I know something is not right, at least I think so, it doesn't seem to be working very well. Looking for advice.

Re: R8000P connected to an EX7500 range extender
What do you mean its "not working very well"?
What actual issue are you having?
what firmware is on each one?
Does it work fine if the extender is shut off?
Details are key to helping out.

When you do check the firmware, one thing is that sometimes the latest isn't always the greatest for firmware. If a new firmware introduces an issues, sometimes downgrading can fix the issue.

A lot of times the default setting is "update automatically"
But if its not and you are behind, maybe the update will help.
