Need help from the PROs before I blow $250-$500.00 I currently have a R7000P — Nighthawk AC2300 on a Win 10 Network wired and wireless device abpout 6 including a 5 Y/O POS WD my book mirro configured as 3T RAID 0 . I am looking to replace it. However I have been unable to fins any info about compatability between the R7000P and various NAS units some I would likey Purchase over the ready NAS due to features. Can anyone attest to the RN212 functioning without issues with the R700P or can any comment on the R700P's ability to connect to any of the pop[ular destop NAS units from Synology/Buffulo or QNap hope I spelled those right. I appreciateany feedback provided Thanks - Little rusty on Q&A Boards this may be better suited to the R700P section I will go there next if I get no quality responses
As @schumaku hints, NAS is an ethernet device that will work with any other ethernet device. Just plug it into your network and hope that your PC plays ball.
I have several brands of stuff attached to my Netgear router (ReadyNAS is too expensive for me.) But Netgear router plus Netgear NAS may well give you some added extras.

michaelkenward, As I replied to @schumaku , I may have overthought this a bit much. Have had a MyClod Mirror for about 4 years ..less than thrilled with it in both perfomance/lreliability and overall usage . Having recently installed a R7000P unfamilar with its conneectivity capabilties conpared with my old router -- Kinda like to stick with a single brand for better chance at comaptabilty and features . I have done enough research to find a few folks who have hing a NAS off a R7000P to feeel confident in moving forward. Thanks for your reply.
Have owned a WD NAS and Synology NAS for a number of years now. They have been flawless through, Netgear, Asus, Linksys and Ubiquiti (gateway in their naming) routers without issue. As the others have said, it is just a device sitting on the Ethernet network and should be a non issue.
