Repeated 2.4GHz band failure
So I recently got an AC1750/C6300 modem router for my apartment. I bought the first one around the middle of November of this year. After power dropped and was restored to the apartment the 2.4 GHz band failed. The 5 GHz still worked. So I replaced it with another. Power was again disrupted and the same problem occurred. Netgear told me this problem was rare but this doesn’t seem to be the case at all.
How can it be that all it takes is temporary power loss (which can be the result of a power outage due to a storm, unit maintenance, etc.) to cause this kind of hardware malfunction multiple times in multiple modem/router combo?
