My Router drops out/stops working almost on a weekly basis. My modem is working perfectly, the signal just drops out and I need to reboot router multiple times to get a wifi signal/connection again. There are also times when I have to wait hours for it to work properly. It's been happening since I purchased the unit around 5 months ago. Extremly fustrating, any suggestions?

What actual modem do you have? (model)
What firmware is on the R7000?
When it drops, do all devices drop, just wireless devices, just specific wireless devices?
the R7000 has had numerous firmware issues. And it rarely updates automatically to the latest.
I'd recommend any firmware changes be done on it over a hardwired connection and then a factory reset and clean install be done afterwards. by clean I mean don't use a backup configuration.
