AC3200 WIFI Connected - Not able to access all apps programs

Nighthawk X6 AC3200 WIFI

When connected to wifi, none of the phones or computers in my house are working properly. Some internet connected apps work fine, but others give me issues. I cannot browse in any web browser at all.

I've already taken the following steps - power cycled the system and all devices, then when I still had issues I reset the router to factory settings and built the network up again - same thing happened. When I hop around the different bands it will sometimes work for a minute or two but then goes back to the same issue. My various streaming devices have issues off and on too.

ALL of my hard wired devices work fine, zero issues. I'm in the middle of the Texas snowpocalypse or I would have just tried to take it to best buy and swap out. Hoping someone has seen this and has an idea.

Re: AC3200 WIFI Connected - Not able to access all apps programs

The Ubee is a modem router combo device. do you have it in passthrough/modem only mode?

or the R8000 in access point mode?

Or the R8000's ip address entered into the ubee's dmz?

otherwise you're in a double nat .

What router is it? AC3200 is a speed, not a model.

What firmware is on it?

What modem/gateway is it connected to?

Nailed it - fully operational. I had the wifi turned off at the modem but didn't have the access point or passthrough set up properly.

You are not the first, and won't be the last, to think that turning off the wifi put a modem/router into "bridge" mode. That's why "what is your modem?" is one of the first questions asked here.

It is good to have yet another report that this fixes problems for someone. Thanks for the report back.
