Changed router password not can't login

Having trouble with my router. Did login using the default login. Once in there was a firmware update that I processed. Had to then log back in no problem. Next I changed the router password and did enable recovery questions option. Then it logged me out, but now I can't log back in with the old or new password. Used the router recovery and is shows the right new password. Still no luck!!!
Tried 3 browsers, cleared internet cache and used both wireless and wired connections. Also an ipad too!
Now what do I do?
Thanks for any expert help,
Diana

You can get back to the default password by doing a factory reset on your device.
There is a manual for the R8000 somewhere at the end of this link:

Re: Changed router password not can't login
Thank you!
Tried that and still couldn't get in. Gave up and bought a new NightHawk X6S. Getting better signal now so I think the old one was on it's way out.
Cheers,
Diana
