Hidden Network issue AC 3200 (C7800) Wifi Cable Modem Router

Hello. I am hoping someone out there can give me some advice.  My NH Modem Router recently started showing as a "hidden network" on my 2.4 GHz, but not on my 5 GHz.  I read to where this could cause security issues.  So I logged in to my Modem Router and I have the broadcast turned on on both.  So I thought it may be a firmware issue and that I may need a firmware update.  Well I cannot see easily what is the latest version.  My Modem Router is V6.01.07.  I do not see anywhere where I can turn on auto updates on my app or by logging into my Modem Router.  I recently seem to be having alot of difficulty with my devices falling off the 2.4 GHz network so I am thinking all of these issues are related.  Thank you in advance for any advice any of you can provide. 

 

1) Does anyone know why my network is showing as hidden and why this could happen

2) is my firmware outdated and how I go about updating

Might try a full on factory reset if that hasn't been done yet. 

 

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Cable Modem products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Cable modems and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
