Tell us a bit more about this network.
The extender is connected to what router? Make and model?
What is that router connected to?
How do you connect to the NBN network? Modem of some sort? What is it?

Re: Model EX3110
Why do you think its connected to the old wifi?
Is the "old wifi" still plugged in and working?
Details are key for helping out.
Going over what your setup is, whats broadcasting, and why you think its connecting to the old one helps us to help you.
