Re: New - R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.136 Released

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What was the LED indication on the top of the router when this happened?

What CAT# lan cable are you using between the modem and router?

What devices do you have all connected?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

I didn't see this with mine:

What is the Mfr and model# of the host router that the NG router is connected too?

What was the LED indication on the top of the router when this happened?

What CAT# lan cable are you using between the modem and router?

What devices do you have all connected?

I use mine in in wireless bridge mode currently. Been working fine for about a week now.

Re: New - R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.136 Released

This may sound crazy but I was having the dropping problem . I went back to my old firmware because of the dropping wifi issues. The next day I tried .136 again and then I installed it a second time right over the top of the first one immediately and everything works. I had tried .136 three times previously with bad results.
Only this I am having a issue with now is that I can't install the nighthawk app on my cell because of a timeout message but my r7000 has been working flawlessly for 3 days.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? This is recommended if you run into any problems after updating FW.

For any NH app problems, please post here:

Re: New - R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.136 Released

Hello,

By chance checking again for new firmware. The R7000's are still on stable but likely vulnerable V1.0.9.42_10.2.44.
Tried some upgrades in the past, but all were a failure in stability specific throughput and WIFI.  Hence I gave up. WIth the feedback again here on the forum. Not really an incentive to do the upgrade hassle over again. Waiting to maybe ever ever hear about a golden version that simply works good and reliable.
Have all a good and healthy 2023, Bas.

Re: New - R7000 Firmware Version 1.0.11.136 Released

I think v.124 was a good version. Didn't see any issues with it.

Also other factor to consider about FW versions and troubleshooting problems.

Not everything if FW caused.

I cant find the R7000 in the spreadsheet: https://downloads1.netgear.com/files/netgear/documents/SMB_EOL_Product_List_Sep2023.pdf

CTRL+F :R7000 or 7000  = zero hits / 0 hits, its not listed there.

Either it is not EOS or it has yet to find its way into that list. In either case, only Netgear knows the status.

Why do you ask?

You have the latest firmware and all is running smoothly.

If you have a security concern, you can always pass it on to Netgear:
