R7000 Router Issues/Ethernet Cable Issues
Okay so this is two seperate questions in one, I hope that doesn't break any rules.
Question One:
I contacted spectrum because my internet speed test was coming back at less than a single mgbps. They said it isn't their end or my modem so it hasn't to be my router. Unfortunately I don't have the 40 dollars it would cost me to have a phone conversation with someone at netgear to figure out if I need a new router or what, so I came here to see if maybe someone could tell me what I should be doing. The problem itself is interminent, occassionally working fine then not working really at all, barely buffering a 140p video. This has been happening for a little over a month. I'm not sure where to start with fixing it. I've tried turning it off and back on, before anyone asks.
Question Two:
Why would my wife's computer be getting faster internet speeds with wifi than with a ethernet cable? Bad ethernet cable? Keep in mind this is only during those 'good' times, when our internet is functioning at all.
