I have limited knowledge so I call upon those who have knowledge. Simply stated, I presently have a Netgear wireless gateway C3000 Modem/Router. I am buying a Netgear RG6700 - AC1750 Router. Can I use the Modem / Router as a Modem ONLY for the RG6700 - AC11750 Router? Thanks for any and all answers and / or comments. @

Yes, you can place the C3000 in modem only mode. Page 12 of the manual walks you through disabling router modem.
