I've seen a lot of talk about this subject. I just got this router and tried setting it up. All was well until the registration wouldn't work. Got ahold of Netgear support. They opened a ticket for my request. The next day I got an email saying the problem was solved and the ticket was complete. Any ideas? Support was totally useless.

Is there a reason you want to register it?
If it's used, its not going to have access to a warranty anyway. The only other major benefit is the notice for updates.
And you'll probably get faster/potentially better answers using the community if you need support.
