X10 R9000 SMBv1 broken in 1.0.5.8 Firmware

I use 2 Playstation 3 consoles to stream mp4 videos from my X10 R9000 as a media server. Firmware 1.0.5.2 works perfectly. When I upgrade to 1.0.5.8, the PS3 will list the files, but they will not play. I can only assume that the PS3 uses SMBv1, and "something" changed in the current firmware release. I downgraded the router to 1.0.5.2, and it works. Update to 1.0.5.8, doesn't work. There is a new beta firmware 1.0.5.12_beta out there, but it only says that it addresses a known security bug and nothing else.
Please assist.
