how to turn off 5g
I need instructions on how to turn off 5g so that I can set up a device that is not compatible with 5g. I think once I get the device set up then I could probably turn back on the 5g.
I really hope someone can help me in the process. if you could be specific would be great.
thanks

Re: how to turn off 5g
You have the R6230?
If so, you don't need to disable 5ghz.
Just connect your phone to the 2.4ghz.
The R6230 doesn't support smart connect, so you should have your ssid's set with seperate names. (dont' have to be seperate but its what I recommend).

Re: how to turn off 5g
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for General Router products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with older routers and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Thank you
