Hey everybody,
I'm hoping someone can assist me with this issue. I just picked up a Nighthawk X8 and Arris SB6190 yesterday for my new townhouse. I have Comcast Xfinity Blast internet (200Mbps DL, 12Mbps UL). For some reason, whenever I try going to "routerlogin.net" or "192.168.1.1" on my network, I come to a page saying that I must be connected to my router's WiFi network in order to accss the UI. However, I am connected through my router's WiFi... it's even popped up when I was hardwired to my router.
The funny thing is that when I disabled my antivirus (Avast! Internet Security), I was able to load into the Netgear Genie just fine. However, on devices where i cannot disable an antivirus, like my WiFi-connected iPhone, it still shows that page.
I have full internet access, and like I said, if I disable my antivirus, it works. I also tried adding URL exceptions into Avast! for http:\\192.168.1.1, https:\\192.168.1.1, http:\\routerlogin.net, and https:\\routerlogin.net, but nothing is letting it go through. I tried running a factory reset on the Router, and doing a power cycle... but it is still coming up. It's not a DIRE issue, as I only need to access my router settings here and there, but it is a little aggitating, as I've never had an issue with Netgear routers in the past.
Has anyone run into this issue, or have suggestions for a fix?

Hi All,
The error message will be corrected. Just make sure that you are connected to the router's network(wired or wireless) to be able to access the UI. Check your IP address and use the default gateway to access the UI if ever routerlogin.net will not work.
