Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
Welcome to the community, @love_cisco
I do not encounter any problem.
Make sure that your computer is connected to the NETGEAR router.
If it persists, reset and reconfigure the router.

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
This has not been resolved. You have to constantly reboot the router to access the parental control. After you reboot, it only works once then it stops working.
This is also true for the Genie, it works one and then it states that it lost connection to the router or the IPV6 in inable, which in my case IPV6 is off.
When is a new firmware going to be provided correcting this two issues???

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
Reflashing the firmware should have corrected it. If not, then sounds like you have a defective unit.
Another thing to try is to downgrade the firmware of the router and verify if you'll get the same problem.

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
There are many posts online about this same problem.
Just purchased this unit less than a week ago.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
Hi ElaineM,
You need to use the Genie in order to "turn on" parental controls. The site you provided is to adjust the settings and the level of control.
Looks to me that this firmware has a bug. Any ohter suggestions?

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
Hi @JaiderGator and @NILSUE,
1. Does the issue persist when using another device (Android, iOS, another computer)?
2. If the issue persists, it is most likely related to the login issue being worked on by engineering. We will provide an update on this thread as well if a resolution is available.

Dexter

Re: unable to setup parental controls via netgear genie
Yes the problem persist with any computer or smartphone. I have Uninstaller deleted the downloaded file then downloaded it and installed it about 3 times on different machines. Nothing works. I also plugged in the lan cable directly to the night Hawke and still the same issue.
This is very frustrating as I have spent a lot on one of the state of the art machine and can't get the basic thing working to keep my kids safe.
Will really appreciate if you can provide and solution ASAP.
Regards
Nilsue
