Looking to buy the NETGEAR - Nighthawk RAX45 AX4300 WiFi 6 Router
Must I have a cable modem to install this router, or is it enough to have a Cat 5 ( I believe its called Cat 5 ) cable coming into my home directly from the OEM that Hotwire communications installed in my home.
I currently have an old Buffalo Router which seems to be failling after about 10 years, and want to replace it with the Netgear.
Thanks

Must have a cable, DSL or Fiber ONT to connect with any external WiFi router that has a RJ45 WAN port connection.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the NightHawk RAX WiFi 6 Router products. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.
