My Router: Nighthawk RAX80 Firm V1.0.2.76_1.0.35
Internet: Cable 940 MBPS - I constantly get 940+ mbps when my PC is connected directly to CABLE MODEM
Devices; 15-20
I'm annoyed beyond believe - i purchased by router Dec 2019 - 500 CAD$
This router has mind of its own for the WAN PORT.
There is countless people reporting this, I found this problem from the day i purchased it.
If only i had known, i would have returned it than, back than i asssumed it was my internet being throttled by ISP
What happens is, the router is run for 1h at full speed wan, than starts throttling to 360 MBPS - wifi or wired. with QOS ON
Than if i turn off my QOS, speed goes up to 480 mbps.
THan if i trun back my QOS, speed goes up to 950+ mbps for few hours. until router starts throttling again.
Everything else - wifi speed, AX speed 800+ mbps over wifi, internet network. WORKS PERFECLTY --
GOD DAM WAN is ONLY porblem only if you have Gigabit connection.
THE DAMM TECH at netgear are bunch of jockers with their MTU settings and stuff..
I wish i had returned it

I finally fixed my problem
Final Results, I'm getting FULL 940 to 985 MBPS download (From Internet & Internal NAS Drive) - both in wired and wifi mode.
PLEASE NOTE** All my clients are wired or AC or AX devices.
Step 1 - Get the latestest firmware
Step 2 - Turn OFF QOS
Step 3 - Turn OFF Traffic Meter
Step 4 - Turn OFF Access Control
Step 5 - Test you MTU with your MODEM from a wired connection MODEM <> PC > https://kb.netgear.com/19863/Ping-Test-to-determine-Optimal-MTU-Size-on-Router
Step 6 - Adjust your MTU settings >> https://kb.netgear.com/24015/How-do-I-change-the-MTU-size-on-my-Nighthawk-router
Step 7 - Use WiFI Analizer - FIND THE BEST CH for WiFI - I put AUTO for 2.4 and CH36 for 5ghz
Step 8 - ENABLE BEAMFORMING > DISABLE MUMIMO > ENABLE AX

Funny looking beast. Looks like modem only. No routering. But two LAN ports? Alien country to me.

Mayeen12, does your Technicolor TC4400 modem support WAN aggregation – and, if so, have you tested that feature with your RAX80?

My struggle is just getting one port to get working properly at 1 gig, i do not think my model will allow 2 gig at the moment, as the ISP needs to send the proper profile to the modem
