RAX 120 Auto Firmware Update - I Disagree does not work
I had firmware version V1.0.1.122 installed for several months, and regularly used enable the telnet option from the /debug.htm page to access the OS. The router has been working perfectly, but decided I wanted to use telnet again, but discovered the option was missing from /debug.htm page. Also, I saw my firmware had been upgraded to V1.0.2.136, and a quick search here on the forum showed netgear had removed the telnet option with newer firmware versions. I checked on the Advanced -> Firmware Update -> Router Auto Firmware Update, and discoved it was set to I Agree, so that is why the auto firmware update happened. I downloaded V1.0.1.122, installed, checked that it installed correctly, did a factory reset, restored configurations from a backup file, and set Advanced -> Firmware Update -> Router Auto Firmware Update to I Disagree. However, then next morning I discovered firmware had been upgraded to V1.0.2.136 again. I have now downgraded to V1.0.122 two additional times, ensured I Disagree was checked, but every morning the router is upgraded to V1.0.2.136 again.
I seems that the I Disagree option does not work, and that the router auto upgrades firmware regardless of the setting. Is there any other setting that anyone knows of that I a missing? Does anyone else have this problem?

Why are you running such old software which is open to security threats?
I have no issues apart from a slight log issue with the latest firmware and considering it's very stable and does what it's intended to do I would say stick with the latest build.

Re: RAX 120 Auto Firmware Update - I Disagree does not work
Well I guess if it's updating and you can't stop it then you either have to keep downgrading when you want to telnet or you live with the fact you have the latest firmware with all the security and other bit and bobs they have added behind the scenes.
