AppleTV and orbi pro not working straight connection.
I have an Ethernet line run from the main unit to the satellite and it's about a 50 ft run.
the Apple TV is about 1 feet from the satellite.
appletv runs about 15-20 mbs on the WiFi.
when I run a straight connection with an Ethernet line from the satellite to the appletv the appletv can't connect to network.
I've rebooted both devices, I've updated all updates, I've switched out the appletv and same thing with another appletv.
I connect a desktop from the satellite it works and gives me the same 15-20 with an Ethernet line. If I do a straight connection from the main unit to the desktop I get a bump up to 48mbps.
Any help on how to get the Apple to work on the mesh network with a straight Ethernet connection?

Re: AppleTV and orbi pro not working straight connection.
Are you using the SRK60?
What firmware is on it?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
Did you go in on the apple and "forget" the wifi network and re-run network setup?

Re: AppleTV and orbi pro not working straight connection.
What att modem is it?
Most of theirs a modem/router combo devices and cause a double nat.
Not all devices play nicely with a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.
