Apple TV 3rd Generation with Netgear Orbi RBRE960 AXE11000
This past week I experimented with the AX4200, AX6000, and now I have the AXE11000 system. All of our Apple TV 3rd generation devices can no longer connect to the Orbi network. However, it does connect to the IOT network. Is this intentional? I don't mind I just want to understand why this is so. Is it because those devices are considered "legacy" now?
I'm running Firmware V6.0.3.85_3.1.15 on the router.
Also, what was interesting when I set up the AXE11000 today is that I couldn't update the firmware during the setup process so I skipped it.

Try forgetting the wifi profile on the ATVs and then attempt to reconnect?
Do you have the separate 6Ghz SSID broadcast enabled or no?
How do you have the wifi and security settings set up for on the RBR?
Is WPA3 mode only set or Mixed WPA2 and WPA3 set?

I've reset the Apple TV to factory defaults and they are updated to the latest software. I tried with both the IOT and 6GHz networks enabled and disabled. With security, I have both WPA2 and WPA3 enabled on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

Was your old Orbi router's 5Ghz perhaps set to something other than WPA2 (not an option now for the AXE)? Regardless, try forgetting the network on your Apple TV and adding it again from scratch.

Just as a quick test, what happens if you disable WPA on the RBR temporarily. Does the ATV connect here? Re-enable WPA after trying this.
Might connect the ATV via Ethernet as well...

Any progress on this?

I performed a factory reset, which I assume forgets all networks anyway. Same result. In any case, I added it to the IoT network. I'm not concerned. It's my mother-in-laws today and all she does is watch Law and Order on Hulu.
