RBS860 Sync Failing
I've been trying to sync my RBS860 to my RBR860 and the setup up the satellite fails each time. I've tried through both the app and the web browser of the router (192.168.1.1)
When trying to set up on the app, the message ultimately received is 'Satellite not found'
When trying to set up on the web browser, it mentions 'Satellite setup failed.'
I am sure I am pressing the sync button on the RBS860;
When trying to set up on the app, I pressed the sync button on both the router and satellite.
When trying to set up on the web browser, I pressed the sync button on the satellite and pressed sync in the web page.
The IP address assigned to the router was 192.168.1.55; I was able to access this only one time via web browser where I was able to confirm the firmware is the same as my RBR860.
However, I've never been able to get the RBS860 to appear in my attached devices list. It only appeared when connecting an ethernet cable between the two. I've also tried factory resetting the satellite a few times as well to no avail.

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
Are you able to connect to the RBS web page using the IP address give by the RBR when ethernet connected?
What FW version is on the RBR and if you can log in to the RBS web page, what FW version is loaded on the RBS.
Have you tried using the Generation new backhaul password button on the RBRs web page under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings then factory reset the RBS by pressing the reset button for 15 seconds then release. Then give the RBS about 5 minutes, should auto sync to the RBR wirelessly while you have the RBS in same room as the RBR. Then see if you can add it?

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
Hello @thebiggest ,
I understand that you are having issues connecting your Orbi satellite to your Orbi router. From the attached photo your RBS860 is on the latest released firmware version 7.2.6.31.
Please follow the instructions below to resolve this issue:
Factory reset your RBS860 ( this will not remove the firmware).
Bring your RBS860 withing 1 foot of your router (this is for the initial setup).
Power on your satellite and wait for the LED to stop blinking and become solid.
Navigate to orbilogin.com > "Add Orbi satellite" (Found under the basic tab).
Now press sync on your RBS860 (Sync times may vary please allow a few minutes to establish connection).
Once your satellite is synced you may move it back to the original desired location.
Please navigate to the link below for instructions on how to successfully factory reset your RBS860:

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
I didn't see the picture. If v.31 is the case, something to consider is downgrading FW on the RBS then RBR lastly to v.21. Been lots of posts with users having issues with v.31 FW. v.21 is most stable.

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
When using the Generation new backhaul password button you mentioned, it mentioned 'Satellite setup successful' when adding the satellite via the web page via the Basic Tab -> Add Orbi Satellite
The led indicator on the satellite flashed blue and turned solid blue and is now off. However, the Satellite itself is still not listed within the Attached Devices -> Connected Satellites.
When accessing the Advanced Tab -> Security -> Access Control, the RBS is only listed under the 'View list of allowed devices not currently connected to the network', which I assume is because I connected the two previously via ethernet.
Will there be any issue with me downgrading the RBR to v.21 via the web browser, if the RBS is currently on v.31?

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
Yes, RBS first, then RBR lastly. After system has been downgraded, you'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch.

Re: RBS860 Sync Failing
Do you have any suggestions/recommendations on how to perform the downgrade on the satellite if I can't log into its IP from a web browser?
