Circle BROKEN after latest Firmware update
NETGEAR STAFF PLEASE HELP!!!!
Since installing the latest update to version 2.6.2.104, my family started complaining that they had access to the internet. I quickly noticed that this was only affecting "managed" devices, i.e. those for whom I had an account in Circle with restrictions, all UNMANAGED devices such as my own phone and laptop were unaffected and still have perfect wifi access. I have tried a number of times to reset circle and get it going again but its not finding it any more and I cannot seem to find a way to fix this, NEITHER can I downgrade or roll back to the previous firmware version. I have been left with no optoin but to disable circle from the Orbi App rendering my recently renewed £45 a year membership thoroughly worthless. To say I am pissed off is an understatement. we suffered this for several days before I found that turning circle off was the only way to give the family access again. In the meantime they were unable to do anything online which given we are still in a pandemic under house arrest was not helpful in the slightest.
Any and all helpful practical solutions welcomed!!!
Ps not sure why there is no access to support directly just because the warranty period has expired? In my view youve released a faulty firmware upgrade and should help resolve the situation?
Thanks

Re: Circle BROKEN after latest Firmware update
Ok so UPDATE - I have managed to work out how to do a manual update of the firmware through the web inteface (I did it via the app first time) and since doing so it has let me back into circle! I can only assume something went wrong with the first update and the firmware didnt go in properly or something. Well at least its working again now, lets see how long it lasts.... Thanks anyway

Re: Circle BROKEN after latest Firmware update
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Circle product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Circle and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there as future reference:

Re: Circle BROKEN after latest Firmware update
Hi. What exactly did you do? I have the same issue - but as far as I can see, the firmware is fine.
Did you download the firmware and do the manual update?
Thanks

Re: Circle BROKEN after latest Firmware update
What version did you manually download and install?
@ArcherDJ wrote:
Yes, downloaded from website, logged into orbi directly from laptop (see manual) then reinstalled the firmware to the main hub. rebooted and then tried to turn circle back on. Which it did. Then tried opening circle app on phone and everything was back to normal... Good luck
