NETGEAR -Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System RBK43-200NAS
I’m not getting the speeds in the upper corner bedroom. I have the router placed on the main floor with one satellite in the garage for security cameras and the other satellite at the top of the stairs on the second floor near the bedrooms.
When I tested the speeds the day I installed the system (yesterday) my speeds were 175 (we pay for 175) but today the far corner bedroom is running on 2.4g at (30mbs) and cant seem to get the 5g speeds even with the satellite 10 feet away.
The reason we got this unit and spent $400 is to be able to get 5g speeds (150-210) in the bedrooms. Rethinking the Orbi mesh.
Can anyone suggest or help? Am I missing something?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

I’ll get you the responses.
Meanwhile, how do I find out nearby WiFi neighbors? We do have neighbors using WiFi.
Thank you.
