ORBI RBR50 and C6900 Not Working
I need to change my network password for my C6900 Cable Modem and Orbi. I changed if from my C6900 and it worked no problem. Now I can't get in touch with my Orbi. I have reset it many times but it still won't work.
Please help!

Re: ORBI RBR50 and C6900 Not Working
If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ. Disable any ISP modem WiFi and filters like firewalls and such.
Or use the Orbi in AP mode.

Okay -- I'm happy to use the Orbi as an AP but I can't login to do that.

Re: ORBI RBR50 and C6900 Not Working
Your modem is probably using the same 192.168.1.1 schema so this would conflict with the Orbi router using same default IP address, So I would do this, factory reset the Orbi router while connected to the Modem/router. Walk thru the set up wizard using a web browser and navigate to orbilogin.com. This should bring up the wizard, walk thru this and complete it. It may tell you that it's detected a router already and may give you the option to continue with the orbi in router mode or may give you a option to select AP mode.
If you chose router mode, then the wizard should tell you that the routers IP address using a different IP address, one that doesn't conflict with modem/router. You should be able to use orbilogin.com in a browser after the set up completes to connect to the orbi router to see it's new IP address after you complete the set up wizard. if you want to use it in router mode. Then input this new IP address it got from the modem/router and input this into the modems DMZ.
If you choose AP mode, then theres no need to use DMZ on the modem.
