RB20 drops connection after update v2.6.2.104
Router | RBR20 | RBR20 | V2.6.2.104 | No new firmware version available. |
Satellite | RBS20 | Orbi Satellite-1 | V2.6.2.104 | No new firmware version available. |
I updated like most and still no resolution. Traffic meter is not enabled, i have tried hard reset, manual roll backs to previous firmware. And still crashing. We will get few hours out then crash and have to reboot the router.
modem is technicolor modem tc8715d

Can't hurt to turn off automatic Daylight Saving Time adjustment. (Who cares what time the Orbi thinks it is?)
If that doesn't work, time to "go back" to a previous firmware.

Re: RB20 drops connection after update v2.6.2.104
Turn off the daylight savings adjusted. Even though it was enabled, the time was still reflecting predaylight, so behind and hour. We will see if that works, I tried reverting back the firm ware update, the router worked but the satelight still had the new version. And it still crashed multiple times. So heres to hoping the timezome trick works..

Did turning off Daylight Savings help? And if so, where do you even do that? Can't find that setting anywhere.

Thanks. Unfortunately, mine was already unchecked. So, I guess that's not my fix. And I was hopeful. Crap.

Factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch. Be sure to not enabled Traffic Meter during setup. DST can be enabled if your in the USA region.
NG already acknowledged that the problem was with Traffic Meter:

Netgear states factory reset should be used for lost passwords
To be precise

A factory reset deletes all personalized settings including your user name, password, WiFi network name (SSID), and security settings. A factory reset is necessary when you cannot recover your password.
