RBK22 provides internet to some devices but not others
I have an RBK 22 system (RBR20 and satellite) and last week it now connects to all devices (except 1 chromecast) but it provides internet only to some devices.
It provides internet to:
S10 (5ghz)
older HP laptop (2.4ghz)
TV (5Ghz)
It doesn't provide internet to:
Pixel 4
XPS
Chromecast
It has a Linksys 6300 connected as a switch (WiFi is OFF). This is connected to Arlo camera system and Synology.
I can see this computer is connected to the Orbi router according to the Orbi app but it does not provide internet to this computer. It is consistent for the past week (roughly).
Access control is OFF (tried ON, no difference)
Daisy chain OFF (only have 1 satellite anyway)
Mimo OFF
Beamforming OFF
latest firmware. What can I try now?

Re: RBK22 provides internet to some devices but not others
Temporarily turn OFF the RBS.
Temporarily disable WPA security on the RBR by logging into the RBRs web page with a wired PC at 192.168.1.1.
After appling the change, see if those three devices will connect to the SSID name and no password.
After trying this, re-enabled WPA and TPIK on the RBR and apply the change. Check to see if those 3 devices connect.
Then try WPA2 and AES...

Re: RBK22 provides internet to some devices but not others
Possible some of your devices got in bad state with there secure connections and needed to be cleared out. Hard to tell.
So all is working now with security re-enabled?
After you re-enabled security, did these devices have you input the PW and then they connected?

Disabling the security works. Then I re-enabled and it still works.

Re: RBK22 provides internet to some devices but not others
I turned the satellite back on and now it doens't work again. Even if I turn the satellite off and security off again it doesn't work.
I spent 1hour with Netgear support and didn't resolve anything. Well, of course because I know it would be too difficult for them. They only checked obvious things like is it ON, what colour light, turn off, etc.
So now I have factory reset and started again with different network name, more secure password, etc.
Same result of working and not working devices:
Iphone 8 works
S10 works
HP laptop works
Doesn't work
XPS
Pixel 4 (not here to test)
In the end I think I might just have to accept it is money wasted and go buy something that works. I am using hotspot for working from home and I am busy. I've spent maybe 6 hours on this since it stoppped working 1 week ago. A few more hours and it's time to put it in the bin. I guess Netgear won't give me money back unless I spend a LOT more hours with them on the phone.
First computer device to beat me. Had a good 30year run.

Re: RBK22 provides internet to some devices but not others
Sounds like your system you have maybe faulty or at least maybe the satellite. I would ask about an RMA.
Try some suggestions:
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s)
