RBR50 - AP Mode - Internet vs LAN Port
Dear all,
I've got a weird behaviour on my RBK53 (firmware: V2.5.1.16) and hope someone can help to give me advise.
My setup is as follow:
Fibre 1Gbps Broadband > Router: Asus 86U > Orbi
I have Cat6 cable running through the house. RBK53 is on wired backhaul.
RBR50 is in AP mode and connected directly to AsusLAN1 port
1st Satellite: RBS50 is connected directly to Asus LAN2 port
2nd SatelliteL RBS50 is connected directly to Asus LAN3 port
PC is connected directly to RBR50 - LAN port
Synology NAS is connected directly to RBS50 (1st) LAN port
Scenario 1:
On the RBR50 - If i connect the Asus LAN cable into RBR50's Internet port
File transfer speed from PC to NAS can only hit 50mbps max.
Scenario 2:
On the RBR50 - if i connect the Asus LAN cable into RBR50's LAN port
Red glowing light on the RBR50
File transfer speed from PC to NAS can hit 110mbps max.
I would very much use Scenario 1 because of the annoying glowing red light in Scenario 2, but the LAN transfer speed is halved. Also, i get 1 less LAN port to use to the RBR50 ...
Can anyone help me on the above?
Pardon my english.
Thanks.
Best Regards,
D.T.

Re: RBR50 - AP Mode - Internet vs LAN Port
Plug your RBS's into the lan port on the RBR. Not into the asus.
Its should go:
Asus lan cable----->wan port on RBR------->lan cables from RBR---->rbs devices.
Try that.
