No, the satellite will connect to the RBR in AP mode.

Re: RBR50 and RBS40v AP mode
So from cable modem to primary router, then plug orbi rbr50 into a Lan port, (change the RBR50 into ap mode, and use the wireless network from primary router rather than orbi with it now in ap mode

Re: RBR50 and RBS40v AP mode
ALL wifi on the primary router needs to be disabled. You only need the wifi on the Orbi.

Re: RBR50 and RBS40v AP mode
You can use the Orbi in router mode.
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What Mfr and model# primary router are you using?
Why not replace the primary router with the Orbi router?
Having two wifi sources in close proximity can be problematic.

Re: RBR50 and RBS40v AP mode
Oh.
Ok, well, in this case, AP mode would be preferred. If your using both wifi sources, AX and Orbi, you'll need to keep the AX router far apart from the Orbi base as much as possilble.
For 2.4ghz between these two, set manual channel to 11 on one router and 1 on the Orbi. Same with 5Ghz, set Orbi to 36 and the AX router to 48 or higher, like 149 and above. Depending you may have triband AX router. Set each radio accordingly.

Re: RBR50 and RBS40v AP mode
You can use two separate wifi sources, Orbi and whatever, side by side.
I have an R7800 and an Orbi network sitting close to each other. Never seen any problems.
I use different SSIDs.
